Camp Kick-Off       for Scouts    - sponsored by Fraser Valley Council

. 2011Sep30-Oct02, Fri-Sun at Camp McLean.  This is a camp for orienting new Scouts and for refreshing & kick-starting older youths.  Camp Kick-Off can attract as many as 500 - 800 Scouts & leaders.  Link to info on our Fraser Valley Council Site: www.fraservalley.scouts.ca/  or phone 604.879.5721.   If any of you would like to help out or know of someone who could, please step forward.  You don't even have to be a Scout leader!   Really. Registrations are available online at the Fraser Valley Council website. Please try and get your registrations in by September 24th, this will allow for the best opportunity to get the sessions your group wants. There is a new map posted, please take a look as we have changed the areas where group/areas will be camping, due to the fields being reseeded and not quite ready for tenting. Parking: please let your parents know that if they are dropping off the youth they will be directed to a drop off area and they will have a short time to drop off the youth and their gear. They are not allowed to stay in that area for very long due to the volume of people arriving. There is NO PARKING ON THE STREET AND NONE IN THE CAMPBELL VALLEY PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET. If you are staying on site they will direct you to where you can park for the weekend. Please follow the directions and have patience, there will be lots of people arriving at the same time. There are no arrivals allowed prior to 5:30 pm. Don’t forget your medical forms. Also there will be an Area Court of Honor on the Saturday night. Please make sure you have a designate Scout available to attend. It will start about 6:30 pm.
